Women’s March NYC 2018

Yesterday’s Women’s March was breathtaking. The signs were creative and faces were full of hope and determination. I braved the wind with two very supportive friends and a piece of pink stretch velour to take some guerrilla style portraits of women marching on Central Park West.

At first it was intimidating to approach the subjects and manage the backdrop in the wind, but I surprised myself with the end result. The backdrop was sometimes a little janky but it was a fun challenge! I hope to do more portrait series like this even as a little self assignment :)
